Who We Are

The Joint came into being when the status quo just wasn't good enough anymore. A doctor of chiropractic had been receiving chiropractic care on a weekly basis for years, and thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of routine adjustments. Meanwhile, he was struggling to see his own patients on a routine basis because it was just too expensive for the patients to come in consistently, as insurance would only cover a small portion of the cost. So he decided to create a new model based on routine, affordable care.  Several years and 300+ clinics later, The Joint is a nationwide phenomenon revolutionizing the way chiropractic care is delivered.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Footit grew up in Sturtevant, Wisconsin where he dreamed of being a star at the Grand Ole Opry and enjoyed collecting country music memorabilia. He first saw a chiropractor seeking treatment for intense migraines.  The relief was so profound it inspired him to become a chiropractic physician. Dr. Footit graduated from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.

In his spare time, Dr. Footit enjoys teaching and hanging out with his two children, Cole and Emma, and partner Michael. He is also a huge fan of Dolly Parton, and has seen her in concert over 40 times!

Dr. Ryan Footit, DC

Dr. LeeAnn Fowler, DC

Dr. Fowler grew up playing soccer in Fort Payne, Alabama.  While working on a Master’s degree, she was inspired to become a chiropractor while working at a local practice!  Dr. Fowler always liked physical medicine, and went on to graduate from Logan University in St. Louis.
In her spare time, Dr. Fowler enjoys cooking, calligraphy, watching The Big Bang Theory, and spending time with her husband, Brett, and their puppy Jojo.

Dr. Brooke Wadley, DC

Dr. Wadley was born and raised right here in Nashville. She attended Middle Tennessee State University for her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry, but she knew from the time of her first chiropractic visit in high school that this was the career field for her. She graduated from Logan University in St. Louis.

Dr. Wadley enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and their eleven pets (cat Buddy, dog Daisy Lou, gerbils Ginger and Cinnamon, and chickens Flora, Fauna, Maryweather, Merida, Boots, Nugget, and Dumplin).

Dr. Steve Teufel, DC

Dr. Teufel grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit. There, he dreamed of one day becoming an astronaut or an archaeologist, but once a chiropractor helped him treat his pain and become healthy, he knew that he wanted to help others in the same way. Dr. Teufel graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  He enjoys playing and listening to music, and spending time with his wife, Serena, and their 3 1/2 year old daughter Savannah Rose.

Dr. Paisley Robertson, DC

Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Robertson dreamed about one day being a flag runner for the New Orleans Saints!  Her mother told her that her hands would be used for something else - little did she know they would be used for chiropractic care!
Dr. Robertson attended Chiropractic College at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and she is motivated by seeing her patient’s faces light up as they get the relief they have been seeking from her expert care.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Robertson enjoys dance, photography, doing puzzles, scrapbooking, and reading!  She is also a movie buff, with a taste for everything from Harry Potter to Bridesmaids to Beauty and the Beast!

Dr. Christina Pisanello, DC

Born in Alaska, Dr. Pisanello predominantly grew up in Savannah, Tennessee, which she fondly remembers as the catfish capitol of the world!  She was trained and graduated from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York.  Dr. Pisanello has found that our bodies will heal themselves if we simply provide them with environment and nutrients and remove any interference from toxins or postural misalignments.
Dr. Pisanello enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends. She is also an aspiring bee keeper and loves pottery!
